Abstract— In the retail industry, data resilience is crucial for seamless operations and customer satisfaction, especially in a landscape driven by both physical and digital interactions. This manuscript explores designing robust data architectures tailored to hybrid cloud environments, where on-premises and cloud infrastructure co-exist to support agile and resilient retail operations. We discuss challenges such as data latency, security, compliance, and operational continuity that retailers encounter in hybrid architectures. Our research highlights methodologies for building fault-tolerant systems and incorporates simulation research to illustrate data recovery and load balancing strategies. Findings suggest that incorporating redundancy, real-time synchronization, and edge computing enhances resilience and responsiveness. This work contributes a comprehensive framework for developing and optimizing hybrid cloud-based data architectures that meet the dynamic needs of modern retail businesses.
