Abstract
With the growing demand for highly responsive and interactive web applications, businesses are seeking innovative solutions to optimize user experiences. This paper explores the migration to React Server Components (RSC) and Server Side Rendering (SSR), focusing on how these technologies can achieve significant response time improvements. Traditional client-side rendering can lead to performance bottlenecks, especially in dynamic applications, as it requires loading JavaScript-heavy content on the browser. In contrast, SSR enables faster initial page loads by rendering components on the server, while RSC further enhances efficiency by streaming lightweight, server-generated components to the client. The combination of RSC and SSR reduces the dependency on JavaScript execution at the client side, leading to a reduction in Time to Interactive (TTI) and improved rendering times. This paper analyzes the architectural changes involved in migrating existing React applications to RSC and SSR, with a focus on challenges such as caching strategies, incremental adoption, and integration with APIs. Benchmark results highlight up to 90% improvement in response times, underscoring the effectiveness of this migration for modern web applications. This study concludes that adopting RSC and SSR not only enhances performance but also improves scalability and SEO outcomes, making it a sustainable approach for high-traffic web platforms.
