Abstract
Supplier selection is a strategic decision crucial for manufacturing and production organizations aiming to maintain a competitive advantage. Effective supplier evaluation involves multiple criteria, making Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods essential. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) has emerged as an effective tool for managing complex decision-making processes involving conflicting criteria. This paper discusses the implementation of AHP in supplier selection, providing a structured, objective, and transparent decision-making framework. Five key research objectives guide the study, encompassing criteria identification, hierarchical structuring, pairwise comparisons, consistency evaluation, and practical implementation analysis. A simulation using real-world criteria demonstrates the robustness and reliability of the AHP method, providing statistically validated outcomes.
