Abstract
Supply chain process optimization is necessary for organizations to enhance operational effectiveness, reduce costs, and enhance responsiveness within the context of a dynamic market environment. Oracle Fusion Cloud has emerged as an end-to-end solution to address these challenges in the form of an integrated portfolio of cloud-based applications that supplement the strengths of supply chain management (SCM). This paper reviews literature from 2015 to 2024 on the application of Oracle Fusion Cloud to supply chain process optimization with a special emphasis on its impact on automation, supplier collaboration, demand forecasting, and cost reduction. Despite the myriad of benefits, there is an enormous research gap to understand the complete spectrum of challenges related to the adoption, integration, and scalability of Oracle Fusion Cloud across different organizational contexts. Past research has highlighted the ability of the platform to improve real-time decision-making, streamline operations, and optimize supply chain resilience. However, few have systematically investigated the particular challenges to successful implementation, such as user adoption, data convergence, and solution customization to support diverse business models. Further, the long-term effect of Oracle Fusion Cloud deployment on total supply chain performance across industries remains to be extensively investigated. This research aims to address these gaps by discussing both the advantages and challenges of Oracle Fusion Cloud, thereby providing an integrative perspective of its role in supply chain modernization. By addressing these gaps, this paper adds to the growing body of literature on cloud-based supply chain optimization and offers valuable insights for future deployments across industries.
