Abstract
This manuscript presents a comprehensive thermodynamic analysis of Organic Rankine Cycles (ORCs) tailored for low-temperature heat recovery applications. The study investigates working fluids, cycle configurations, and performance parameters, emphasizing thermodynamic efficiency and environmental benefits. The evaluation employs classical thermodynamic laws, exergy analysis, and parametric studies on typical ORC setups. The results demonstrate the feasibility and potential of ORCs in harnessing low-grade heat sources such as industrial waste heat and geothermal energy. Challenges related to fluid selection and system optimization are discussed, with recommendations for practical implementations using technology available up to 2020.
